KOLBURANOS

Emre and Damla Kolburan couple started out with the idea of opening a "local" pizzeria and opened Kolburano's after seeing and falling in love with a 200-year-old stone building from the Greeks in the village of Reisdere at the end of 2015.

They combined the traditional thin dough pizza of Italy with the local ingredients of the area, creating their own recipes and tastes.

The daily prepared fresh whole wheat flour, locally harvested and sourced produce and herbs and the best quality delicatessen keeps their menu quite simple.

In 2022 due to the fact that their village was commercialized, their property surrounded with buildings, century old trees being cut down they decided that they don't belong there anymore.

Now in their new location, with beautiful sunset and sea views they have moved on to a new adventure.

Being a home-style restaurant, Kolburano's works only with reservation. Guests can call in and pre-order special stew dishes if they desire.

There are no waiters in white shirts at Kolburano's. All meals are prepared in the wood-fired oven. They prepare pizzas with their own hands and serve them themselves again.

Pork sausages, baked in the oven with spicy potatoes. Rich mixed cheese or cold cut platters. Variety of seasonal pizzas. And a single home made dessert prepared by Damla basically sums up the whole experience. The simple wine menu predominantly consists of local wines and are of the producers of the local region.

During summer you can dine under the shade of 200-year-old fig and mulberry trees, or move in to the historical stone building left from the Greeks in winter and sit by the always burning wood burning stove.

There will always be pleasant music accompanying your meals, while you're sipping away your wine and tasting Kolburano's delicious pizzas and enjoying a little break from time.
